Pattern Recognition, 2019
The series Pattern Recognition reflects upon the overwhelming complexitiy of the cosmos and searches for the common denominators in the phenomena of life, consciousness and language.
The works are compositions of both analogue ink drawing and digital printmaking, done with a pen plotter and aim for a visual complexity that brings together a scientific interest for nature as well as technical artificiality. Thus Pattern Recognition can be seen as a visual analogy to our our life as human beings: always surrounded by the rules that we create ourselves, based on the observations we make. It is about being curious in every moment, an artistic search for questions and therefore about the essence of what makes us a human being.
