Making Sense of Everything – Kunstfabrik Groß-Siegharts

Making Sense of Everything is an idealistic attempt to explain the kosmos through artistic means. I will show prints of 3D renderings, sculptures, painting and drawings and hopefully it will unfold as the weird melange of mindmap-like clustering that I want it to be. The exhibition is an experiment for me and I am really looking forward to learn from it.

The opening is on April 14th / 7pm
and the duration of the exhibition is from April, 15th to May, 20th.

Artist Fellowship in Paris

I was awarded a fellowship by the city Klagenfurt to work and live for 6 months (March – August 2018) in small studio in the center of Paris. The place is awesome I have lots of time to experiment with different techniques and think about new projects / ideas. Most of the time I am drawing / painting / finishing the last page of my graphic novel / working on new robography artworks in collaboration with my vertical drawing machine. The results will be shown in an exhibtion in Klagenfurt at the end of year.

Artist in Residence – Albrechtsfeld / Bäckerstraße4

For 1 Week I have been working in Albrechtsfeld, a huge farming complex in the middle of nowhere / countryside of Austria.

It has been great for a number of reasons:

  • calming down
  • ordering priorities
  • creating without pressure or outside goals

The AIR was organised by Baeckerstraße4 Gallery and I was invited to take part in a very nice group exhibition, showing a small selection of works, that have been produced in Albrechtsfeld. Because the wood-sculpture I was buiding there, was destroyed by the strong winds in the area, I showed a drawing, that I had been working on in between.

ENTDECKER – Book Release with Raphaela Edelbauer

Raphaela Edelbauer’s first book is fantastic journey through the world of science, philosophy and language. We worked closely together on this first publication of hers and I created lots of different drawings and illustrations in the process. It was a great experiance to work in this symbiotic constellation and also a huge challenge to do the lay-out of the book as well.

You can order it here >>

Edit: Meanwhile Raphaela won the Rauriser Literaturpreis 2018 with our book and the first edition of 500 has been sold. I am very glad, that there will be a second edition of ENTDECKER and we are currently not only planning a second book, but also a series of performances that will be loosely based on the topic.

Alles ist verbunden – Diploma Exhibition – June, 17th 2015

Everything is connected is the name of my diploma project, which will be presented in a beautiful attic.
I’ve been in love with the place since about a year now and I’m very glad to have the opportunity to show my work there.

Drawings and wood are combined into a room-specific installation. Unknown worlds and endless universes open into a vast void of refections. It is the thinking upon thoughts, that takes place in this never ending moment of organic circulation. Roots, cells, branchings and abstract formations interweave into a network without beginnings or endings. They transform into a visual metaphor, that describes the internal procedures, that enable human consciousness.

77-Magazin: Release & Living Exhibition

Over the last year I’ve been working hard on a Project which is called “The 77-Magazine”. I started the Project together with Austrian based musician and composer Georg Tkalec and it took us from December 2013 to December 2014 to finalize the whole project. The main aspect of the idea was to give 77 different artsists, from all over the world, the opportunity to share their artistic perspective. Each got to design a whole spread, the size of A3.

The final and printed version of this art-publication is available from now on and can be ordered here.

From the 2nd of December to the 7th of December there will also be an exhibition of all 77 pages in a Vienna based Gallery, named “mo.ë”.

“A bookplate, also known as ex-librīs [Latin, “from the books of…”], is usually a small print or decorative label pasted into a book, often on the inside front cover, to indicate its owner.”

A small and very limited edition of digital ex libris, also part of a small group exhibition around the topic of the bookplate. They where produced with a self coded slit-scan application in processing, exploring the field of digital visualization in a field, which is primarily reserved for traditional techniques.
